My soaps are nothing like store bought/commercial brand bar soaps and body washes. I keep my ingredients REAL and SIMPLE. My soaps do not contain any detergents that over-dry the skin, but instead contain natural oils and butters that nourish and hydrate your skin; which make these wonderful for those with eczema and psoriasis!
+ The goat milk used in my soap is fresh and raw, straight from my local goat farmer. Why goats milk? Not only does it give the soap a rich, creamy lather, but it's wonderful for your skin! Goat milk contains a bunch of Vitamin A and Lactic Acid, which is a fancy way of saying that it helps to dissolve old dead skin cells so that the fresh new ones can come through, keeping your skin soft, glowy, and vibrant. Goat milk is super gentle, and keeps your skin moisturized and healthy.
+ All of the tallow and lard in my soap also comes from my local farmer; all grass fed and antibiotic and hormone free- I hand render it myself! Tallow and lard makes the bar of soap nice and hard, which keeps it lasting longer for you. Both animals fats are chocked full of vitamins and nutrients that are very beneficial for your skin.
+ All herbs used in my products are homegrown and organic, and all colorants are kept natural by using different clays or powdered herbs.
+ While I mostly use essential oils in all of my products, some do contain fragrance oils. All fragrance oils that I use are both paraben and phthalate free. I research each and every company, business, or farm that supplies me with ingredients for my products. It is important to me to use trustworthy suppliers that also practice ethical and sustainable practices themselves!
+ All packaging is kept either recyclable, compostable, and/or reusable. We're pretty big on living a zero waste lifestyle!
***In an effort to be less wasteful, do not be surprised if your order arrives at your door in reused packaging. While I strive to keep the packaging on my products plastic free, I do use recycled bubble mailers, along with random boxes, kraft paper, etc. We here at The Bearded Bee Homestead adore our planet, and encourage you to reuse/recycle our packaging as well. We promise that although the outside may not be pretty, the inside will look (and smell) wonderful. It is whats on the inside that counts anyways, right? ***
